Paul McCartney had lived in 7 houses by the time he arrived at 20 Forthlin Road at the age of 13. Finally settling in a nice area in a lovely house, the McCartney family had only been there for 1 year when tragedy struck.

The McCartney family had revolved around Mary's work as a nurse, taking her from Everton to Speke and finally to Forthlin Road in Allerton, a lower-middle-class area where she worked as a district nurse. Sadly, just 12 months after arriving there, Paul lost his mother to cancer: he was only 14.

This house would become the hub for the Quarrymen rehearsals and eventually where John and Paul would write many songs together.

Paul managed to return here on his TV special with James Corden on his Carpool Karaoke - seen by millions already. It was the first time Paul had been back inside for many years.
