Drummer Jim Keltner Recalls Beatles Members Being “Really Brutal” to Paul McCartney
George Harrison and John Lennon were among the numerous renowned artists who used Jim Keltner, a session drummer, for their albums. Harrison and Lennon, according to Keltner's new interview with the British magazine Uncut, were very critical of Paul McCartney, but they would not tolerate it when others did the same.
"George and John, throughout the years, had the potential to be extremely harsh with Paul," Keltner revealed. The fact that I couldn't become one of them was obvious from the start. They each stated, "We can say that, but you shouldn't," at various points.
