"I Wanna Be Your Man" is a song written by Lennon/McCartney and recorded separately by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, the Stones version being released weeks earlier. This song was first written by Paul McCartney, being finished by him and John Lennon in the corner of a room, while Mick Jagger and Keith Richards talked.
The Beatles' version was sung by Ringo Starr and appeared on the group's second UK album, With the Beatles, released on 22 November 1963 and on the American release Meet the Beatles! , released on January 20, 1964.
It was driven by an open, heavily tremulous E chord on a guitar played through a Vox AC30 Amplifier.
