"I've Got a Feeling" - Marsh Family cover of The Beatles song

It’s a poor effort from the point of view of facial hair. But this is our best stab at emulating the wonderful centrepiece of the Beatles’ famous rooftop concert on 30 January 1969, “I’ve Got a Feeling” - written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon, and blended from two earlier songs. Like many people, we were mesmerised by the incredible footage from Peter Jackson’s “The Beatles: Get Back” documentary series in 2021, and this was the track that stuck most in our playlists, so we figured we’d have a go at it, with Tess in prime position as Billy Preston.

Apologies that we didn’t quite sort the camera position perfectly – but there was too much going on musically to nail that as well. On the plus side there aren’t any parody lyrics getting in the way, as it’s a straight cover. Our next plan from the Patreon support wishlist is going to be a higher/larger tripod and the option of a second camera to get more close-ups and variation for these ‘live’ recordings we’ve been trialling lately!
