Johnny Depp Just REVEALED His New Ablum..

Hollywood, with its vast budgets and audience-tested sense of morality, is keeping its distance from Johnny Depp — at least for now. But the elder statesmen of classic rock have got his back. Paul McCartney included an old video clip of the actor in his headlining set at Glastonbury. Hollywood Vampires, Depp’s band with Alice Cooper and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, have announced a 2023 tour. And Jeff Beck, among the greatest of rock’s guitarists, has made an album with Depp as co-musician and singer, and is currently touring.

This fraternal embrace from old analogue-era rockers coincides with Depp’s digital rehabilitation on the youthful platforms of social media. As a result of his successful US court case for defamation against his ex-wife Amber Heard, which involved gruesome details of marital breakdown and allegations of abusive conduct, he has amassed millions of followers on TikTok and Instagram. His online fandom, with its lynch-mob mentality, has entered into a curious pro-Depp alliance with a set of antique rock gods. Truly, the age of technological atavism is upon us. The album has been made over the past three years, which have included a defamation trial in the UK in 2020 when Depp unsuccessfully sued The Sun newspaper for calling him a “wife beater” and the recent one in the US, at which Depp was awarded $15mn in damages. A winsome illustration on the cover shows Depp, 59, and Beck, 78, as 18-year-old rockabillies. The 13 tracks mostly comprise covers, an attempt to breathe new life into old songs.
