Another rarity that I dug up via a USB stick, is the final single issued from Australian born Noosha Fox - 1981's 'Hot As Sun' which was a cover of a Paul McCartney song from his debut solo set 'McCartney' in 1970. Noosha, born Susan Traynor, was the lead singer of the 1970's band Fox, who hit it big with 'SSS Single Bed' and 'Only You Can'. Fox didn't stay together all that long and Noosha tried for a solo career but despite a most unique voice and look, she was unable to make great strides other than a minor hit with 'Georgina Bailey' in 1979. Her single 'The Heat Is On' is on my channel in an extended form as are other gems from Fox. Agnetha Faltskog recorded the song for her debut 4 years later. 'Hot As Sun' definitely has elements of Fox's sound and Noosha was a charismatic figure in the pop landscape in the mid 1970's thanks to her trio of hits with the band.
