The source video I used to create this one is here: https://youtu.be/6N56gPjBVJ0
That was the best-quality upload of this music video I could find online. I have replaced the audio track with a high-quality one of the single. The source video was much too loud compared to the majority of music videos, so I have fixed that. The source video was also slightly out of sync, with the picture running a bit late compared to the sound, so I have fixed that. I have also added optional subtitles for the lyrics.

This music video was directed by Phil Griffin.

This song was written by Paul McCartney. This track was produced by David Kahne, and was released in 2007. According to Wikipedia, the single reached No. 42 in Japan, No. 85 in his native UK, and No. 110 in the USA. Apparently it did not chart in any other territory.

I currently have one other video featuring Paul McCartney, and it's this:
The Beatles : "Help!" - Live in Blackpool, 1965 • Official/Unofficial Music Video • HQ Audio
https://youtu.be/sJabOnEN0zE

An official presentation of the lyrics to this song is to be found on Paul's official website at the following page: https://www.paulmccartney.com/discography/songs/all/ever-present-past
The exact same presentation is to be found printed in the liner notes of the 2007 album "Memory Almost Full", and a picture of this can be seen here: https://www.discogs.com/release/1021313-Paul-McCartney-Memory-Almost-Full/image/SW1hZ2U6MTkwMTg4Mzg=
However, that official presentation is definitely not very accurate. Here is what it has for every chorus:
"The things I think I did
I d.i. d.i. did
The things I think I did
When I was a kid"
That second line definitely never gets sung in the song, and does not make any sense. The transcripts I have seen on lyrics websites are also not very accurate. Some are very similar to the official presentation, and others have that second line as "I do, I think I did", which I consider to be closer to what is actually sung; I have perceived the correct words to be "I did, I think I did". Please be aware that this and other lines I have presented in my own transcript may not be correct. My transcript is presented below and as optional subtitles in the video.

Lyrics:

"Ever Present Past"

- Paul McCartney

(Words and Music by Paul McCartney)

I've got too much on my plate
Don't have no time to be a decent lover
I hope it isn't too late
Searching for the time that has gone so fast
The time that I thought would last
My ever-present past

I've got too much on my mind
I think of everything to be discovered
I hope there's something to find
Searching for the time that has gone so fast
The time that I thought would last
My ever-present past
Hmm

The things I think I did
I did, I think I did
They're the things I think I did
When I was a kid

I couldn't understand a word that they were saying
But still I hung around and took it all in
I wouldn't join in with the games that they were playing
It went by, it went by, in a flash
It flew by, it flew by, in a flash

There's far too much on my plate
Don't have no time to be a decent lover
I hope it's never too late
Searching for the time that has gone so fast
The time that I thought would last
My ever-present past
Hmm

The things I think I did
I did, I think I did
They're the things I think I did
When I was a kid
Hmm

Well, just the things I think I did
I did, I think I did
Hmm
They're the things I think I did
When I was a kid
When I was a kid
