It never happened, it's made up.

The original Paul Mc Cartney didn't play piano except for an occasional tinkering.
He was the Bass Man and great on any guitar; acoustic, electric lead, etc.

TAXMAN is a perfect example. He played ALL of the instruments, drums included.
His lead guitar was astonishing. He thought George's voice was better for the vocals.
TAXMAN was Paul's diatribe against Heath and Wilson and others who were ripping off 95% of the band's income.
