One of my favorite post-Beatles songs by Paul. From the LP, Ram ... an album which I thought captured the mood of the times quite
well when it was released in May 1971. I always thought this lovely ballad would have been great in a feature film and for some reason reminded me a bit of Burt Bacharach's music. It is a reflective work, looking back at the earlier Beatles period, yet, at the same time, expressing a desire to move ahead ... in Paul's case to move on with his relationship with his wife Linda and their future. Although the LP was credited to Paul and Linda McCartney, and both collaborated on many of the songs, this particular work was all Paul's. This video looks back to that special time when McCartney was newly married to Linda Eastman and also to his previous relationship with actress Jane Asher ... as well as those relationships and marriages of the other three Beatles and the early and tragic Beatle Stuart Sutcliffe.
