Paul McCartney returned to Liverpool in 1979 with his band to perform at a sold-out concert in Liverpool. However, Liverpool looks very different to when Paul McCartney and The Beatles were on top of the world.

Mathew Street is deserted, with the Cavern knocked down and no signs of Beatlemania. The Beatles' first manager, Allan Williams, talks about trying to raise money for a statue of The Beatles.

Paul McCartney is seen rehearsing for the gig, and then we see the McCartney family getting together for a party. Paul is no superstar there - he is one of the McCartney family and no more.

Everything changed the following year when John Lennon was murdered and fans wanted to come to Liverpool and there was nothing to see.
