There has been confusion around where the first photograph of John Lennon and Paul McCartney was taken. For many years we were told it was Paul McCartney's debut with The Quarrymen at New Clubmoor Hall on 18th October 1957.

However, that has now been disproved by members of The Quarrymen and other eyewitnesses. Travel with Beatles historian and author David Bedford to discover where this iconic photograph was taken.

John met Paul at St Peter's Garden Fete on 6th July 1957 and no long after they had met for the first time. They played for a few weeks at the youth club dances at St. Peter's Church Hall before playing here at Wilson Hall in Garston.
