Thousands of people travelled to TD Coliseum in Hamilton on Friday to see Sir Paul McCartney, the stadium’s first public concert after its official opening.
Excitement could be seen building in downtown Hamilton as the newly renovated coliseum welcomed the singer.
“This is everything we wanted it to be,” said Nick DeLuco, the Oak View Group Senior Vice President and General Manager of the TD Coliseum. “We got fans outside — we got almost 14,000 people coming in today — we built this building, a $300 million investment in downtown Hamilton, to bring world-class entertainment like this. Seeing everybody here getting ready for the show is everything we dreamed of.”
