Two Of Us is on my 'Like McHastle' playlist.

It's written by @johnlennon & @PAUL McCARTNEY and released on their final @The Beatles album Let It Be. Warned by radio, TV and newspapers I expected the worst album ever. Oke, it's not Abbey Road or Sgt. Pepper, but still there are a few monuments on it. I never heard this kind of close harmony singing from The Beatles before like they do in Two Of Us.

It's one of those songs you start playing and everyone around you start singing along with you. Always such a pleasure to do this at my gigs, especially when other musicians are around.

About BEAUX JARDINS:
I often get the question: Why Beaux Jardins?
One of my older brothers has always been quite francophile. In his early twenties he even planned to go to France for good. Then we thought of which name he should use - you’d better not use the name Van Schoonhoven overthere. One of the options was to just translate our name into french: Beaux Jardins. Somehow I have always kept that name in some remote corner of my mind.

When I recorded a few songs with my son Jelmer about ten years ago, it felt obvious to use that name. And since then I used it for all my audio and video recordings. In hindsight I can say that was not a very smart idea. Once you search Beaux Jardins on Youtube you will see hundreds of the most beautiful gardens, but Bart van Schoonhoven? ……No Way. But putting Bart behind that search string you will see my channel coming up.

About @Bart van Schoonhoven:
Early seventies Bart recorded two singles with his band Breeze, a few years later followed by an album and the two hit singles, ‘Gypsy Woman’ and ‘It's Only A Matter Of Time’. Renowned for his vocal efforts, Bart did guest appearances on albums of various other artists, such as The Surfers and the famous series of Stars on 45.

In 2005 he released an album called ‘412nd’ (for one second) with his band @EUMETRIS, 15 years later in 2019 followed by the album ‘The Midnight Laundrette’.

Since late 2019 he is doing solo performances with his project ‘Songs That Linger’ with lots of covers alternated with lots of originals. Unfortunately Covid-19 came and a lot of scheduled gigs were canceled or postponed. Powered by corona efforts he developed some solo projects during this period: ’Never Let Her Slip Away’, ‘Dream Your Fairy Tale’, ‘Can’t Rewind’, ‘Like Everly’, ‘Like Finn’, ‘Like McHastle’, ‘Like Simon’.
