Elon Musk is sending the Model S performance to the Nurburing in ermany for trials designed to ecliplse the track record set by the Porshe Taycan. Many back and forth comments have been made but the world champ driver Nico Rosberg has signed on to drive the car which eliminates and performance issues related to lack of track knowledge. Given that VW is almost a part owner of the track one would not surprised if in some way the model s will have difficulty getting on the track. We also take a look at some of the range sacrifice made by VW that affects range of both the Taycan and other VW evs but improves safety.
