For the previously known concept of Mission E, a new name “Taycan” was chosen. In Porsche, they say that the name has Oriental roots and, in its freestyle interpretation, means “high-spirited young horse.”

 DESIGN
The car received a recognizable exterior design, but also its distinctive electromobile features, for example, a bumper without a grille and new spectacular LED headlights.

The four-bed body with a glass roof and frameless windows in length is 4950 mm, which is 10 cm less than the Panamera. The width is almost 2 meters, and the height of the cross-turismo all-terrain version with 275/40 tires on twenty-inch disks is 142 mm, but can be increased by 5 cm due to air bellows.

The Taikan has two trunks: in the front, about 100 liters in volume, and a spacious cargo compartment in the rear, with unusual attachments.

Porshe Taycan 2019 will be available in 3 variations: standard Taycan, Taycan 4S and Taycan Turbo. Despite the absence of any turbines, the company decided to leave this pritaku, because It has long been associated with buyers with the most powerful versions of Porsche.

PLATFORM
Porshe Taycan 2019-2020 is built on the new Premium Platform Electric platform, jointly with Audi development. This new chassis is designed specifically for electric vehicles, differs in the traction batteries integrated into the power structure of the floor for a low center of gravity.
 
Unlike the new Porsche, none of these electric vehicles can yet boast a fully-driven chassis. This system has already been tested on the last 911 and Panamerah: at high speeds, the rear wheels turn slightly in the same direction as the front ones, which reduces centrifugal force, and at low speeds, the rear wheels deviate in the opposite direction, which improves maneuverability and reduces the turning radius .

At the comfort of the driver and passengers are working shock absorbers with variable stiffness, and air suspension allows you to increase clearance by 50 mm.

BATTERY
The maximum cruising range exceeds 500 kilometers in the European NEDC cycle, which is softer compared to the US.
