This buying and depreciation guide is split into a few parts. In the first part, I will show you the price and mileage distribution for the Model S and how these differ for the different model types. The model types are split for examples by the Model S performance, P100D, P85D, and P90D, and 90D.
In the second part, I show how much the Model S depreciates per year and how these numbers differ for different model types. Also, I show what the prices could look like one year from now.
In the third part, we will figure out what the depreciation per year is and how this depreciation number varies across the model range.
In the fourth part, I will combine the depreciation per year and the depreciation per 1000 miles driven and show you what a fair purchasing price is for a Model S.
At the end of the video, we will reflect on all of these numbers and point out any the differences in depreciation between a Model S and more traditional cars like the BMW 5 Series, Mercedes Benz E class and the Audi A6.
