In the electric car world, we're pretty used to judging a car based on how far it can travel per charge. In fact, it's one of the most common metrics used to decide if an electric vehicle is any good or not.

But just as gasoline cars weren't all built for fuel economy first and foremost, not all plug-in cars are built with long-range in mind.
